The roar of engines has faded, but the memories of the 2025 Victoria Falls Enduro, sponsored by Harris Motors, will linger long after the dust settles. This year’s event was a resounding success, showcasing incredible talent from across Africa. The prestigious Gold Class witnessed a stunning victory by 17-year-old South African rider Brandon Clark, who dominated the challenging course to finish a remarkable 10 minutes and 18 seconds ahead of Zimbabwe’s very own Josh Goby in second place. Zambia’s Phillip Reeve rounded out the Gold Class podium in third.
The event truly highlighted the diverse passion for enduro, with competitors ranging from an astonishingly young 4-year-old Eli Pieterson, winner of the PW50 class, to seasoned riders well into their 60s tackling the demanding terrain. Six African nations were proudly represented, adding an exciting international dimension to the competition.
Victories were hard-earned across all classes: Kevin Mulders claimed the top spot in the Silver Class, followed by Andrew Matuska and Mike Thorne. The Bronze Class saw Jess Watson take the win, with John Lucas and Ryan Neal securing second and third respectively.
In the Masters categories, David Reeve of Zambia emerged victorious in the Gold Masters, dedicating his emotional win to his late friend Jasper Lublinkoff. Zimbabwe’s Rick Goby took second, and Malawi’s Harald Guelker finished third. The Silver Masters saw a Zimbabwean triumph with Tony Smith in first, followed by Zambia’s Johannes Stallmann and Zimbabwe’s Ian
Gloss. Stephen Annandale and Joe Trail, both from Zimbabwe, claimed the top two spots in the Bronze Masters. The future of enduro looks bright with the young talent on display in the High-School classes. Zimbabwe’s Nicholas Karrasellos won the J1 High-School category, with fellow Zimbabweans Max Annandale and Tyler Moss in second and third. Zambia’s Samuel Ihmann took the top spot in the J2 High-School class, followed by Connor Barry and Namibia’s Harry Kibble.
A special mention goes to Claudia Pieterson, who was the only lady who competed and did very well placing 6th overall in the Broze catagory and to Jayden Kerwin, the youngest competitor who impressively navigated the Bronze course on his small 65cc bike. The Junior course also delivered exciting racing, with Matthew Barry taking first place, followed by Nicholas Merring, Keegan Riggs, Liam Fry, Haddon McClure, and Riley King.
Despite much-needed pre-event rain that caused some concern with a partially submerged course, the weather thankfully turned, and the Enduro proceeded smoothly without any major injuries.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors, Harris Motors, Liquorama, and the Round Table, for their invaluable support. The event’s success would not have been possible without the dedication of all the volunteers, marshals, and officials who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
We look forward to another thrilling edition next year!
